BTW: for others to know, they did not and will NOT make a medellin movie. The producers of the show, film shit load more of scenes then they actually use. Secondly, when HBO makes the medellin film website live like the screenshot dont get confused. Because when they were doing the aquaman arc on the show, the producers took out a 2 page ad in variety with the line on the bottom beat out spiderman for biggest opening.
Television producers have been doing this gag for years, it goes back as far as the early 80s. Its just used as an april fool joke usually, however since this show only runs in the summer it makes sense to run these ads in the summer.
